Lisa Nandy on Radio 4

This morning Lisa Nandy MP was interviewed by Justin Webb on Radio 4’s Today programme.
We were astonished to hear the comments she made about Woman’s Place UK which we absolutely refute.
We have decided not to pursue legal action at this stage. We believe the labour movement should try, instead, to resolve differences through respectful debate. We will, however, be monitoring comments made about WPUK and its founders carefully throughout the leadership campaign.
We would like to thank everyone for your solidarity and support in challenging the spiteful falsehoods in circulation.
We all need to work to ensure that democratic debate and discussion is not closed down and that women’s voices are not silenced.
Thank you for speaking up.
Please see here for our guidance on organising public meetings.
Please contact Labour Women’s Declaration for actions by women organising within Labour.
We at Woman’s Place UK stand by our record.
We challenge the Labour Party to stand by its own policies and principles.

We believe that it is important to share a range of viewpoints on women’s rights and advancement from different perspectives. WPUK does not necessarily agree or endorse all the views that we share.
