We are the co-founders of Woman’s Place UK, a campaign established to ensure that women’s voices are heard and our sex based rights upheld.
We are members of the Labour Party which recently asserted its support for sex based rights in the election manifesto.
We are life-long campaigners for equality and justice.
We are extremely concerned by the scurrilous mischaracterisation of Woman’s Place UK as a ‘transphobic organisation’ and a ‘hate group’ by some individuals and groups in the Labour Party, including leading figures in the current leadership election.
These are accusations we absolutely refute and which we believe to be defamatory.
We call on those making such accusations against us to provide evidence for these claims or withdraw them.
We call on the Labour Party to affirm its support for women’s sex based rights and our right to organise and exercise our right to free speech and assembly.
We call on the Labour Party to demonstrate its opposition to this misogynistic abuse of women.
Defend us or expel us.

We believe that it is important to share a range of viewpoints on women’s rights and advancement from different perspectives. WPUK does not necessarily agree or endorse all the views that we share.
